Groundbreaking of Nearly 1,800 Billion VND Golf Course Project in Ha Tinh
The 36-hole sports golf course project, with a total investment of nearly 1,800 billion VND in Thach Xuan commune (Ha Tinh province), will contribute to shifting the economic structure toward a higher proportion of services and driving tourism development.

On the morning of May 19, in Thach Xuan Commune, the People’s Committee of Ha Tinh Province, in collaboration with Ha Tinh Tourism and Sports Services JSC, held the groundbreaking ceremony for the project "36-Hole Sports Golf Course as part of the Southwest Thach Ha District Sports Complex Master Plan – Silk Path Golf Course Ha Tinh."
Attending the ceremony on behalf of Ha Tinh Province were Mr. Nguyen Duy Lam, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Mr. Phan Thien Dinh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee; and representatives from various provincial departments and agencies.
Also present at the groundbreaking ceremony were Mr. Nguyen Trung Khanh, Chairman of the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism, and Mr. Vo Trong Hai, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee of Nghe An Province.

The project—titled "36-Hole Sports Golf Course under the Southwest Thach Ha District Sports Complex Master Plan – Silk Path Golf Course Ha Tinh"—received in-principle investment approval from the Provincial People’s Committee under Decision No. 62/QD-UBND on December 3, 2025. It represents a total investment of VND 1,798.56 billion (approximately $70 million), comprising nearly VND 270 billion in equity and over VND 1,500 billion in raised capital.
Project Perspective
Developed by Ha Tinh Tourism and Sports Services JSC, the project covers 180 hectares in Thach Xuan Commune. The development encompasses a 36-hole golf course, administrative and operational facilities, accommodation units, and dedicated amenities for golfers. Construction and implementation are slated for completion by August 2028.

Upon completion and operation, the 36-hole golf course will provide premium golfing and lodging services, enriching local recreational options and fostering public health and wellness. Furthermore, the development is expected to drive the local economic shift toward services, draw high-end tourism and leisure investments, optimize land utilization, generate local employment, and bolster State budget collection.

Delivering his remarks at the event, Tran Bau Ha, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, underscored that the Silk Path Golf Course Ha Tinh project is among the province's key priority initiatives being fast-tracked to boost local socio-economic development.

To meet implementation deadlines, the developer is urged to mobilize all available financial, human, and technological resources to expedite construction. Throughout development, the company must explore and apply cutting-edge technologies to enhance operational efficiency, safeguard regional water sources, and ensure environmental sustainability while delivering a high-quality experience for users.
The provincial official also called on local departments, sectors, and authorities to maintain close coordination with the developer, proactively resolve obstacles, cut administrative red tape, and foster a transparent, level playing field for investment. Contractors and consultants were encouraged to uphold the highest standards of responsibility to deliver a top-tier project. Ha Tinh Province remains committed to supporting investors, regarding their success as integral to the province's overall growth.

During the event, provincial officials and distinguished guests performed the official groundbreaking rituals, pressing the launch button and turning the first sod to mark the commencement of the Silk Path Golf Course Ha Tinh project.

On this occasion, Ha Tinh Tourism and Sports Services JSC also donated 200 million VND to the Fund for the Poor in each of the two communes, Toan Luu and Thach Xuan.
