Road transport: connecting North and South via National Highway 1, Ho Chi Minh Highway, North-South Expressway, and coastal road DT.547; connecting with Laos and Thailand via National Highway 8 and National Highway 12C.
Railways: North-South railway, high-speed railway along the North-South axis, and Vung Ang - Tan Ap - Mu Gia railway.
Airport: Ha Tinh province has been approved by the Ministry of Construction for a potential airport in Thien Cam and Yen Hoa communes. Currently, it connects via Vinh Airport (Nghe An province) and Dong Hoi Airport (Quang Tri province).
Seaport: The Vung Ang – Son Duong deep-water port complex is one of the largest deep-water ports in the North Central region, capable of receiving vessels up to 300,000 DWT and serving as a hub for international trade with Laos, Thailand, and other countries and territories such as Taiwan, Japan, and South Korea. The port has been planned as a national specialized and integrated port, a regional hub, and a Class I port in the national seaport system.
