Cau Treo International Border Gate Economic Zone

Cau Treo International Border Gate Economic Zone is one of Viet Nam’s eight key national border economic zones. It covers a total natural area of 56,685 ha, encompassing the three communes of Son Tay, Son Kim 1, and Son Kim 2.

+ International Gateway: Functions as an international trade gateway and a vital national and international transit hub along the East–West Economic Corridor.

+ Multi-Sector Economic Zone: Operates as a comprehensive, multi-sector economic zone spanning trade, services, logistics, tourism, agriculture, forestry, manufacturing, and urban development.

+ Regional Cultural & Tourism Hub: Serves as a major cultural and tourism service center for Ha Tinh Province and the North Central region, equipped with synchronized, modern technical and social infrastructure.

+ Strategic Defense & Security: Holds a crucial position regarding national defense and security.

 

 

Transport Connectivity:

+ Roads: Connected via National Highway 8A, located 8 km from the Ho Chi Minh Road, 38 km from the North–South Expressway interchange, and 42 km from National Highway 1A.

+ Railways: Situated approximately 30 km from Yen Trung Station.

+ Seaports: Located 70 km from Cua Lo Port (Nghe An Province) and 150 km from the Vung Ang – Son Duong Port cluster.

+ Airports: Positioned approximately 60 km from Vinh Airport (Nghe An Province).
